iQOO launched the Neo 9 Pro smartphone in India today. The smartphone comes with flagship-like specs including an AMOLED 144Hz display, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a 5160mAh battery, and 120W fast charging support. The iQOO Neo 9 series made its debut in late December in China, and the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is the Indian variant of the vanilla iQOO Neo 9 but with a different chipset.

iQOO Neo 9 Pro price in India, availability

iQOO Neo 9 Pro is priced at Rs 35,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at Rs 37,999, and the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant priced at Rs 39,999.
The 8GB + 128GB variant will be available from March 21st onwards. As for the other two variants, you can purchase it from February 23rd via Amazon. Those who pre-booked the device can purchase it today itself.
iQOO is offering a discount of Rs 1,000 on both the variants, and an instant discount of Rs 2,000 for ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank credit card holders. There’s also an exchange bonus of up to Rs 4,000 on the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, and six months of extended warranty along with no-cost EMI.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro comes in two colour options of Fiery Red with a vegan leather back, and Conqueror Black with a glass body.

What’s new with the iQOO Neo 9 Pro?

iQOO Neo 9 Pro succeeds the iQOO Neo 7 Pro that launched last year in July. In terms of specs, you get the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. The overall design has also changed with individual and larger camera sensors at the back, which the brand calls the squircle camera design. There’s now a dual-tone design for the Fiery Red variant.

The smartphone also has a higher refresh rate, and a slightly larger battery on the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. You also get the same Liquid Cooling Vapor Chamber that’s present on the flagship iQOO 12. It also features a ‘wet hand touch’ technology that makes the display touch responsive even to wet hands. iQOO has also increased the peak brightness to 3,000 nits on the new Neo smartphone.

iQOO Neo 9 Pro specs

Display: iQOO Neo 9 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 144Hz refresh rate for gaming, and 3000 nits of peak brightness.
Processor: The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with Adreno 740 GPU.
RAM and storage: It comes in two variants with 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. You also get 8GB and 12GB of extended RAM on both the variants.
Cameras: iQOO Neo 9 Pro has a dual camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX920 primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. There’s a 16MP front camera for selfies.
Battery, charging: The smartphone packs a 5160mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
Software: On the software front, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro runs Funtouch OS 14 with Android 14 out-of-the-box.
Other features: The smartphone also comes with an IP54 rating, a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 7, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
