ISRO’s Moon mission Chandrayaan-3 will be lifting off today and the launch will be live-streamed by the Indian space agency for the nation and enthusiasts to watch. This will be ISRO’s third lunar mission and hopes are high, as all did not go well with Chandrayaan-2, when the lander crash-landed on the Moon.

The moon lander ‘Vikram’ is being rocketed off to the moon on Launch Vehicle Mark 3 (LM-3). It is expected to touch down at the south pole of the lunar surface on August 23rd or 24th and the ‘Pragyan’ rover will be released for ISRO to analyse the moon. The new mission is designed to land successfully, even if certain issues arise thanks to various safeguards in place.
