Jio Phone 5G launch date is yet to be revealed officially but a new leak suggests a post-Diwali release.
A Twitter user shared live images of the Jio Phone 5G, which reveal the smartphone's front and back along with some key specs. Here, the Jio Phone 5G looks similar to other sub-Rs 10,000 phones with a plastic back and the camera module placed at the top centre. At the front, we see a waterdrop-style notch housing the selfie camera.
The leaked images also confirm the Jio Phone 5G will feature a 13MP primary rear camera. The tweet further adds that there will be a 2MP secondary sensor at the back and a 5MP front camera for selfies. There's a Jio branding and 5G written on the rear panel of the phone further adding to the speculation that it is the Jio Phone 5G. There's also one image with speed test results of the Jio 5G network and it shows download speeds of 470Mbps and upload speeds of 34Mbps.
According to the tweet, the JioPhone 5G is expected to launch between Diwali and New Year, so there are still months to go until we see the rumoured device. As per the tipster, the phone will be powered by either a Unisoc 5G processor or the MediaTek Dimensity 700. Previously, the phone appeared on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 480+ chip. The Jio Phone 5G is also said to be priced under Rs 10,000, which would make it the most affordable 5G phone in India.
