Logitech has launched the limited-edition MX Master 4 Developer Edition in India, featuring a design inspired by coding and software development. Based on the company’s flagship productivity mouse, the special edition retains its customisable controls and workflow features. Let’s take a closer look at it below.

The Logitech MX Master 4 Developer Edition is priced at Rs 20,699 in India. It is available as a limited-edition product through Amazon India, while stocks last.
The special edition retains the design and performance of the standard MX Master 4 but adds visual details inspired by software development. Its matte finish features laser-etched coding references, including syntax annotations, markup tags, circuit patterns and a terminal-style ‘Hello, World’ prompt.
Logitech has also included a few references that developers may recognise, such as ‘0xFF + 1′ for World Programmers’ Day, ‘09.17’ for the Linux kernel release date and ‘!04.01’ for World Backup Day.
On the functionality front, the mouse offers customisable haptic feedback for tasks such as navigating large code repositories and switching between terminal windows. A dedicated Actions Ring button provides quick access to custom macros and preferred AI coding assistants, which could help users reduce repetitive actions during their workflows.
The mouse also features Logitech’s MagSpeed scroll wheel, which can scroll through up to 1,000 lines per second and stop with pixel-level precision. Logitech claims it as its fastest, quietest and most precise scrolling experience.
The Logitech MX Master 4 Developer Edition is mainly for developers and programmers who spend long hours working across code editors, terminals and AI tools. The customisable haptic feedback, Actions Ring shortcuts and MagSpeed scroll wheel can make everyday tasks easier, especially when switching between applications or navigating large code repositories. The developer-inspired design is also a nice touch for those who enjoy limited-edition hardware.
Rs 20,699, however, is a lot to spend on a mouse when the standard MX Master 4 is available for around Rs 11,000. Other similar options include the Razer Pro Click V2 at around Rs 11,000 and its Vertical Edition at around Rs 13,000, which offers a different grip for users who prefer a more ergonomic design.
The pricing for the Developer Edition is mostly due to its nature as a limited-edition colourway. If it appeals to you and you have the funds to spare, it is a worthwhile option. For others, the standard MX Master 4 offers much of the same core experience at a lower price, making it the more practical alternative.
