A new Mi MIX phone — probably the Mi MIX 4 — is confirmed to launch later this year by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. Now, a Twitter user Xiaomiui, known for Xiaomi-related leaks, has shared the alleged specifications and features of a premium Xiaomi phone with model number K2B and codename ODIN in the MIUI code. According to the leaker, these model number and specifications likely belong to Mi MIX 4. The tweets says the Mi MIX 4 specifications will include an in-screen selfie camera and Snapdragon 888 5G chipset with mmWave 5G support. Considering, these are premium features, there are indeed high chances it could be the Mi MIX 4 though it’s always possible this may be an entirely new phone under the Mi line-up.

Mi MIX 4 specifications

The leak says the Mi MIX 4 will feature a Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 5G support and may have mmWave support. For cameras, the alleged Mi MIX 4 is said to be equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. It is said to offer features like 120x hybrid zoom, 15x video zoom, 1920fps slow-motion video shooting, and 8K video recording support. Considering, it’s just speculation at the moment, we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt and wait for something more concrete.

Mi MIX 4 has been in the rumour mill for a long time, as early as 2019. However, the entire 2020 passed by without a the phone going official and now the expectations are quite high regarding what Xiaomi has in store for us with the flagship Mi MIX series. There are also speculations that Xiaomi’s first-ever commercial foldable phone will be part of the Mi MIX series, but whether it will be called Mi MIX 4, Mi MIX Fold, or something else entirely is anybody’s guess at the moment.

Separately, 91mobiles had exclusively shared the Mi 11 Lite renders recently. This shows the phone will be available in Black, Peach, and Purple colour options. It has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, flat display and triple rear cameras at the back in a square-module. The volume rocker and power button are on the right spine. The fingerprint sensor could be placed within the display. Mi 11 Lite is said to be available in both 4G and 5G variants. While the latter is said to come with Snapdragon 765G SoC, the former will come with Snapdragon 732G. It may have an FHD+ display resolution and a high-screen refresh rate. The Mi 11 Lite is said to pack up to 8GB RAM, 4150mAh battery, 33W fast-charging and 64MP primary camera.
