The Mi MIX 4 or the Mi MIX Fold launch is just around the corner! We know Xiaomi has scheduled an event on March 29th in China and globally, with the company introducing the Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, and Mi 11 Lite at the event. Now, ahead of the announcement, Xiaomi has confirmed it will also unveil a new Mi MIX phone on the same stage but hasn’t revealed the exact name of the phone just yet. The teaser image reads “MIX Coming Back” and it doesn’t reveal the design. Speculations are rife the upcoming phone will be a foldable model, likely to be named Mi MIX 4 or Mi MIX Fold. We recently came across alleged live images of the Mi MIX Fold, which showed off a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2-like design.

Mi MIX series is making a comeback

Mi MIX Alpha was the last MIX-series phone that launched in September 2019, but the last commercially available phone was Mi MIX 3 5G that launched in February 2019. Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), had revealed the next foldable phone could be from Xiaomi and it may offer out-folding, in-folding, and clamshell designs.

Mi MIX 4 specifications

A mysterious Xiaomi phone with model number M2011J18C had received TENAA and 3C certification recently and is believed to the company’s first foldable smartphone. The latter revealed it will offer 67W fast-charging support and the TENAA listing is updated to show 12GB/16GB RAM and 512GB storage. However, other details remain under wraps for now.

Another Xiaomi phone with the model number K2B and codename ODIN had appeared in the MIUI code. It is said to be the Mi MIX 4 and its specifications have leaked too. The phone is said to sport a QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 5G (mmWave support).

The Mi MiX 4 is said to be equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, 120x hybrid zoom, 15x video zoom, 1920fps slow-motion video shooting, and 8K video recording support. Since the launch is just a few days away, we should learn more details soon.
