“Microsoft has started seeding the Windows 10 Technical preview to a select few Lumia devices”
Microsoft has begun rolling out the Windows 10 Technical preview for smartphones to the ones who have signed up for the Windows Insider Program. The preview has been launched for the Lumia 630 (review), Lumia 635, Lumia 636, Lumia 638, Lumia 730 (first impressions) and Lumia 830 (first impressions).
Microsoft has stated that more devices will be added to the list in the near future. The preview is a very early version of the platform and may not come with all the functionality that you may be expecting.
The Windows 10 Technical preview will come with the feature of putting an image in the background of the home screen and interactive notifications. Cortana will come only to US users for the time being. You’ll get Office Universal apps, universal apps for Mail and Calendar, Skype with IP-based messaging and integrated messaging in the future.
With the preview, you can also expect bugs and issues which will then be rectified post feedback from the users. Just in case you wish to install the update on your device, here’s what you need to do.
