Nothing Phone (2) pre-order buyers can purchase the phone starting now and until July 20th. The new Ear (2) Black will also be available for pre-order buyers from tonight. As for the open sale, it is scheduled to start on July 21st from 12 pm onwards via Flipkart and select retail outlets

Nothing Phone (2) specifications, features

  • Design: The Nothing Phone (2) looks similar to its predecessor but gets a redesigned Glyph Interface, with more LED lights to enable new functionality. The rear panel is also slightly curved to offer a more premium in-hand feel.
  • Display: Nothing Phone (2) features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also has 1600 nits of peak pixel brightness, HDR10+, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. 
  • Processor: The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Nothing says the Phone (2) offers an 80 percent increase in overall performance over the Phone (1).
  • RAM and storage: Nothing Phone (2) comes in three variants of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. 
  • Cameras: In the photography department, Nothing Phone (2) has a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and EIS and a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera. Some of its camera features include Motion Capture 2.0, 2X Super-Res Zoom, 4K videos at 60fps, and Action Mode. 
  • Battery: The smartphone packs a 4,700mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, and 15W wireless charging support. You can also use the phone to charge accessories like Ear (2) as it doubles as a 5W wireless charger. 
  • Software: On the software front, Phone (2) comes with Android 13-based Nothing OS 2.0 out-of-the-box. Users will also get three years of Android updates, and four years of security patches every two months. 
  • Others: The smartphone also comes with 5G, Wi-Fi 6, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.

Nothing Phone (2) competitors

With a starting price of around Rs 45,000, the Nothing Phone (2) is now in a new segment compared to its predecessor. The phone will be competing against the following devices:

  • OnePlus 11R: Priced at Rs 39,999, the OnePlus 11R gets the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 120Hz display, and 100W fast charging.
  • Google Pixel 7a: The Google phone is priced at around Rs 44,000 and gets the Tensor G2 SoC, a 64MP primary camera, and a 4,300mAh battery.
  • iQOO Neo 7 Pro: This newly-launched iQOO phone also touts the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a 50MP primary camera, and 120W fast charging.
