Nothing OS 2.5.3 update details
Via X (formerly Twitter), Nothing posted about the rollout of Nothing OS 2.5.3 for the Phone 2. The update, which is 64.58 MB in size, brings some performance enhancements, introduces a new feature, and includes the April security patch for Android. Here’s the changelog:
- Introduced an option to apply the Nothing Icon Pack exclusively to the home screen, making it easier to access in the App Drawer.
- Enhanced icon arrangement on the Home Screen, allowing users to scroll through pages while holding app icons.
- Fixed a problem with connecting to car Bluetooth media players.
- Streamlined animations in specific situations for smoother transitions.
- Updated the Android Security Patch to April 2024.
- Enhanced system stability to improve overall performance.
As per reports, it appears that many users are not excited about the new update. While the last update in late January fixed some problems, users still wanted more improvements, especially with the camera quality and overall performance.
Unfortunately, this new update doesn’t seem to address these issues. Some of the top requests from users in the comments were for features like a ring mode tile and a recorder widget, both of which have already been added to the Nothing Phone (2a).
