Ola Electric has released four new electric scooters on the occasion of Independence Day in the Indian market. Three of these belong to the all-new Ola S1X series while a Ola S1 Pro (2nd Generation) has been unveiled with more power and range. Ola S1 Pro specifications and features

The Ola S1 Pro retains the iconic headlamps and comes in five colour options. In terms of the range, the 4kWh battery has been certified for 195 Km on a full charge which is higher than 1st Gen’s 181 Km claim. The peak motor power is now 11kW and the top speed is 120 Kmph compared to 8.6kW and 116 Kmph, respectively, on the older model. It takes 2.6 seconds to go from 0 to 40 Kmph of speed.

The brand has claimed that it has redesigned the frame, powertrain, battery pack and electronic system (powered by MoveOS) on the new S1 Pro wth Gen2 platform. The screen resolution has surprisingly decreased from 1280x768p to just 800x480p. It takes 6.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100% at home and features four drive modes. There is a 34L boot space, stronger grabrail and proximity unlock with the help of your phone. The scooter has R12 tyres with alloys, and disc brakes and the front suspension is now a twin telescopic one.

Ola S1 Pro 2nd Generation price in India, booking and availability

The new Ola S1 Pro 2nd generation is available at Rs 1,47,499 and can be purchased starting today through the Ola app and Ola Electric website. Deliveries for the product will begin in mid-September in the country. 

Ola S1X: 3 new models, specifications

The Ola S1X is available in two models with an option of 2kWh and 3kWh batteries. The only model with keyless unlock is the Ola S1X+ which comes in a 3kWh battery option. The base Ola S1X does not feature any smart connectivity and the full range comes in new dual tone colour options. We’ve compiled the differences and similarities here.

Ola S1X series price in India, booking and availability

The Ola S1X (2kWh) has been priced at Rs 89,999 while the Ola S1X (3kWh) costs Rs 99,999. The top Ola S1X+ variant will set you back at Rs 1,09,999.

The Ola S1X+ can be purchased starting today and the deliveries will start at the end of September. The Ola S1X (2kWh and 3kWh) can be reserved at Rs 999 with deliveries starting in December. All scooters have an introductory discount of Rs 10,000 till August 21st, bringing the starting price down to just Rs 79,999 for the Ola S1X (2kWh) and Rs 89,999 and Rs 99,999 for the Ola S1X (3kWh) and Ola S1X+, respectively.

Ola claimed that it has already achieved 50,000+ bookings for the Ola S1 Air scooter that it launched earlier. This scooter is priced at Rs 1,19,999 in India. The brand now has a total of six electric scooters in its range if you include the Ola S1 Pro (1st Generation) which costs Rs 1,39,999.

Ola Electric bikes also showcased

Ola unveiled four concept bikes at the Customer Day 2023 event too. These are the Cruiser, Adventure, Roadster, and Diamondhead. The company’s CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal claims that the brand will “reinvent motorcycles” with these new products. He also claimed these two-wheelers are capable of long-range travel.

No further details were revealed on these products but the Cruiser could be the most affordable one, with Adventure meant for long commutes and adventurous journies while the Roadster is meant to provide everyday comfort for city rides. The most innovative bike in the range is the flagship, Diamondhead, which is claimed to be a superbike that will “redefine” the segment.

MoveOS 4 beta to be available next month

Ola Electric also introduced MoveOS 4 software for its electric scooters. The new update will bring over 20 new features and 100+ enhancements including Ola Maps, Hill Decent, Find My Scooter, Call filter, Biometric unlock, Auto turn-off indicators, Megaphone and more. The beta of this software will be available for users starting September 15th and the final version will be rolled out to all at a later date.
