Last year, OnePlus surprised many by launching the OnePlus 13T, a compact flagship that didn’t compromise on performance. At a time when most premium phones comfortably exceeded 6.7 inches, the OnePlus 13T catered to users who wanted a lighter, more pocketable device, but still demanded top-tier internals. The strategy appears to be continuing with the OnePlus 15T.
According to posts on Weibo, OnePlus appears to have confirmed the 15T’s arrival through its Chinese New Year red envelopes. One particular post mentions that Li Jie Louis, OnePlus China President, said that the OnePlus 15T will launch as a small-screen powerhouse with industry-leading performance and battery life with “comprehensive leaps in system smoothness, gaming performance, imaging capabilities, screen quality, and charging experience”.

If reports are accurate, the device could debut in China as early as March.
Early details suggest that the 15T will retain a refined compact form factor, possibly featuring a flat display and a streamlined chassis, like the OnePlus 13T. It will most likely continue with the small and minimalist camera square at the back and a metal frame.
In terms of specs, the OnePlus 15T is tipped to feature a compact 6.32-inch display with a 1.5K resolution. An upgrade here could be bumping up the refresh rate to 165Hz, like the latest OnePlus flagships. The camera setup is also due for an upgrade, and it could be with a 200MP primary sensor, or it could continue with a 50MP like the 13T. This could be paired with a 50MP telephoto camera, along with a 32MP selfie shooter.
The OnePlus 15T will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which would put it right at the top of the Android performance ladder for 2026. Battery is also set to get a major upgrade with a 7,500mAh cell paired with 100W wired charging and wireless charging support.
Just like how the OnePlus 13T launched as OnePlus 13s in markets like India, the 15T is expected to follow the same route. There have been some unsettling rumours about the 15s launch in India, with some saying it might have been cancelled. But it’s best not to come to any conclusions without official confirmation.
If you’ve been holding out for a flagship Android phone that’s compact and gives high-end performance with a cleaner and minimal design aesthetic, the OnePlus 15T (or OnePlus 15s) could be worth watching. However, buyers who prioritise periscope zoom cameras or expansive media consumption screens may still prefer larger flagship alternatives.
More concrete details should emerge as we move closer to March.
