OnePlus users in India have been facing a display issue where a green line suddenly appears on the screen. Several users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to complain about the issue, and some saying that OnePlus isn’t offering any solution for the same. The company has finally broken its silence about the green line screen issue by offering a lifetime screen warranty, and upgrade discounts for select OnePlus models.

OnePlus offers lifetime screen warranty

OnePlus has decided to address the issue by offering a lifetime screen warranty option for all devices that have the green line, the company confirmed to Android Authority. So any OnePlus user facing this issue can avail it for their device. This offer is however, only applicable to OnePlus users in India where the issue seems to be most persistent.

“We realise that this issue has caused a great deal of inconvenience to the affected users, and we apologise for it. In line with our unwavering commitment, we encourage users to visit the nearest OnePlus service centre for device diagnosis, and we will provide free screen replacement for all devices affected by the situation. On select OnePlus 8 and 9 Series devices, we are also offering a voucher that will provide the user with a fair percentage of the device value to upgrade to a new OnePlus device. In light of the current situation, we are now offering lifetime screen warranty on all affected devices. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

Upgrade discounts for select OnePlus models

In addition to lifetime screen warranty, OnePlus is also offering upgrade discounts for select models. This is available in OnePlus Exclusive Service Centers, and it’s applicable to the older OnePlus 8T, 8 Pro, 9 and 9R. OnePlus says that these models are old, and nearing the end of their life cycle, so screen replacement isn’t possible. It is instead suggesting an upgrade by offering discounts up to 85 percent on exchanging one of the above mentioned OnePlus models.
