OnePlus Nord CE 2 (formerly, Nord 2 CE 5G) is known to be in the works for some time as a successor to the Nord CE from last year. It was recently spotted on the OnePlus India website’s source code. 91mobiles recently reported the handset is out of testing and is set to debut in February. Now, in line with that, noted tipster Max J, who is known to be reliable with OnePlus leaks, claims the Nord CE 2 5G will debut on February 11th. The tipster has shared an image showing the Nord CE2 5G’s camera island and LED flash, which matches with the renders exclusively shared by us.

There are rumours the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is a rebrand of the OPPO Reno 7 SE but with faster charging and better optics. We can expect OnePlus to start teasing the phone in the next few days, provided the launch date is indeed legit.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 specifications

OnePlus Nord CE 2 specifications include a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, slim bezels, a punch-hole cutout to house the selfie snapper, and probably even a Corning Gorilla Glass layer for protection.

It is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. There could be a 12GB RAM option in the works as well. The handset runs on Android 12 based OxygenOS 12 custom skin out of the box but there are chances it could come with Android 11 OS in India.

The handset is tipped to pack a modest 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual SIM, microSD card slot, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Lastly, as for the cameras, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will have triple cameras on the back, with a 64MP primary OmniVision sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
