OnePlus Nord CE 6, Nord CE 6 Lite: what to expect

OnePlus Nord CE 6

OnePlus Nord CE 6 will be the more premium model out of the two. It’s confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which should deliver good mid-range performance. It’s getting a 1.5K display with 1,800 nits of peak brightness, which will support 144FPS gaming in specific titles. This makes the Nord CE 6 a top option for gaming visuals. Its highlight, though, will be the massive 8,000mAh battery, a major upgrade over the Nord CE 5’s 7,100mAh battery. This should deliver two days of usage easily.

The Nord CE 6 is also confirmed to house a 50MP primary camera with dual-axis OIS support and 4K video recording support. Up front will be a 32MP camera for selfies.

OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite

OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, on the other hand, will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex, claimed to deliver an AnTuTu score of over 10,30,000. This suggests capable performance for regular to moderate usage. The phone is also said to reach 144FPS in titles like Subway Surfers, but BGMI and COD Mobile will be capped at 90FPS. While not as powerful as the Nord CE 6, the phone should still be good enough for heavy gaming.

Up front, the Nord CE 6 Lite will feature a flat display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This is still a rare feature in the segment. It’s also getting a large 7,000mAh battery, claimed to last for up to two days. The Nord CE 6 Lite also gets a 50MP primary camera and a 32MP front camera for selfies.

Both phones will run Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 out of the box.

Based on what we know so far, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is recommended for those who want a performance-focused mid-ranger with gaming in mind. The handset also makes sense for users who prioritise battery life. The Nord CE 6 Lite would be the budget-friendly option, which can still deliver an all-around capable performance. However, if cameras are a priority, then you might want to check out alternatives.
