OnePlus and Realme TVs to call it quits in India
- OnePlus and Realme will reportedly end the production and sale of their Google TV-powered smart TVs in India, according to an ET Telecom report citing industry sources.
- However, OnePlus and Realme will continue with smartphone production in the country.
- The report says that the increasing demand for streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and others has fuelled the demand for smart TVs in India.
- The OnePlus and Realme TV prices’ were discounted during the Flipkart and Amazon festival sales.

The report comes as a surprise considering OnePlus and Realme TVs were reportedly performing well in the smart TV segment. As per Counterpoint Research study for 2022, OnePlus was among the fastest-growing smart TV brands last year. Xiaomi led India’s smart TV market in 2022.
Regardless of the claims, neither Realme nor OnePlus have not accepted or dismissed reports and one can still buy OnePlus smart TVs in India through various platforms like the OnePlus website, Amazon, Flipkart and others. We need to see what Realme and OnePlus have planned for their smart TVs segment. Even if OnePlus or Realme exited the market, we are inclined to believe they would still offer after-sale service to their TVs.
