OPPO and Vivo have both launched their latest flagship smartphones, with the Find X10 series already available in India and the X500 lineup teased to launch soon. But we might get another model from both brands, and both of them will be the top-end models in the lineup. The OPPO Find X10 Ultra and Vivo X500 Ultra are rumoured to offer major camera upgrades, with the latest leak suggesting multiple 200MP cameras.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the OPPO Find X10 Ultra could feature a quad-camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor, a 200MP ultra-wide camera, a 200MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP 10x periscope telephoto shooter. This would mark a significant upgrade over its predecessor, particularly in the ultra-wide department. For context, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra features a 200MP primary camera, a 200MP 3x periscope telephoto shooter, a 50MP 10x periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. So this time, OPPO might be going for a triple 200MP shooter.
Previous leaks suggested that OPPO would retain a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, while the primary and periscope telephoto cameras would get 200MP sensors. If the latest leak holds, the Find X10 Ultra could offer a more versatile camera system with higher-resolution sensors across three of its four rear cameras.
The Vivo X500 Ultra is tipped to feature a triple rear camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto shooter. If accurate, this would suggest that Vivo is retaining its high-resolution camera approach for its next-generation flagship, with upgrades potentially focused on other aspects of the imaging experience.
For context, the Vivo X300 Ultra also features a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. This suggests that the X500 Ultra could retain a similar camera configuration, although improvements in sensor technology, image processing, and other camera capabilities could still make a difference to the overall photography experience.
Both Vivo and OPPO have released their super-premium Ultra models in the global markets, but with the ongoing memory crisis, it’s quite doubtful for the Find X10 Ultra and X500 Ultra. The OPPO Find X10 Pro Max carries a price tag of Rs 1,99,999, so if the Find X10 Ultra launches in India, it will definitely cross the 2 lakh mark. And we’re not sure if buyers are ready for that. Even so, the OPPO Find X10 Ultra and Vivo X500 Ultra are both poised to offer series camera capabilities, keeping them on top in the industry.
