Highlights
  • POCO F2 Pro is listed on a Chinese e-commerce website ahead of launch
  • The listing suggests a design that similar to the Redmi K30 Pro

POCO has started teasing the launch of the POCO F2/ F2 Pro over the past few days. Rumours suggest that the successor to the POCO F1 will be called the POCO F2 Pro, which is widely expected to be a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro. Now, a popular Chinese e-retailer, called Gearbest, has listed the POCO F2 Pro ahead of its launch. Without mentioning the exact specifications, the website reveals that the phone will come with a powerful processor, large memory, beefy battery with fast charging and excellent cameras. This is most likely a placeholder microsite for the upcoming POCO phone, and may not be indicative of the real phone.

Based on the images and features mentioned, the POCO F2 Pro will come with a notchless display, a pop-up selfie camera and a circular rear camera module, all of which remind us of the Redmi K30 Pro. The listing adds that the handset will ship in two models: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB internal storage that should be further expandable. Since there is no cutout at the back, the fingerprint sensor could be placed within the display or on the side.

The POCO F2 Pro is rumoured to come with the Snapdragon 865 chipset and 5G support. If it is a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro, we also expect specifications like a 64MP quad camera setup, 4,700mAh battery and 33W fast charging support.

The Gearbest listing also suggests that POCO is finally set to debut in China, something that Xiaomi VP Chang Cheng confirmed would happen back in February. Whether the Gearbest product page is real or fake is something we can only know for sure after the company reveals the smartphone. You can expect POCO to officially start teasing some features about the upcoming phone in the coming days.
