POCO is reportedly working on two new smartphones — POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro. We started hearing about the new POCO phones through certification sites and other leaks a while back, including an alleged BIS listing. It’s also speculated that the POCO F6 series will launch in July this year. A new report now reveals what’s supposed to be the chipset for the POCO F6 smartphone.

POCO F6 chipset details leaked

POCO F6 is expected to be powered by the unannounced Snapdragon SM8635 chipset, according to a report by GSMChina. The possible moniker for this chipset is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Qualcomm is launching new chipsets on March 18th in China, and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 could be one of them. The new processor is said to come with a similar architecture to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but with an Adreno 735 GPU.

The Realme GT Neo 6 series is also expected to feature the same chipset. The Redmi Note 13 Turbo, the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series phone, and Vivo Pad 3 might also come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. 

POCO F6 to launch as rebranded Redmi Note 13 Turbo

POCO F6 was spotted on the IMEI database with the model numbers 24069PC21G (global) and 24069PC21I (India). The POCO F6 is also expected to launch as a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Turbo, which carries the model number 24069RA21C. Redmi Note 13 Turbo will debut first in China after which we’ll see it arrive in global markets as the POCO F6. 

The report adds that the POCO F6 will arrive in April, while the Redmi Note 13 Turbo will debut in China. So we should get to know very soon about the new Qualcomm chipset, and details about the POCO F6 smartphone. 

As for the POCO F6 Pro, this smartphone is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This phone too is speculated to launch as a rebranded Redmi K70. POCO is yet to announce the launch of its F6 series. It just launched the POCO X6 Neo smartphone in India.
