POCO Pad specs, features

The POCO Pad resembles the Redmi Pad Pro quite a bit, as they both offer similar displays, chipsets, and batteries. The Redmi Pad Pro was launched in China last month.

The POCO Pad boasts a 12.1-inch 120Hz LCD display with 2.5K resolution and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. It includes Dolby Vision, adaptive reading mode, TUV Rheinland flicker-free, low blue light certified, and more.

The new POCO Pad features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 710 GPU. It packs up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1.5TB via microSD card support.

Similar to the Redmi Pad Pro, the POCO Pad also equips an 8MP on the rear and front. Regarding the battery, the POCO Pad houses a 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Other features of the POCO Pad include a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 6, quad speakers, Dolby Atmos, Gyroscope, Colour temperature sensor, and Ambient light sensor, among others.

POCO Pad alternatives

In terms of specifications, the POCO Pad’s ideal competitor might be the Realme Pad 2. However, the Lenovo Tab P12 also features a similar display and battery backup, which makes it a competition to the POCO Pad.

The Lenovo Tab P12 comes with an 8MP rear camera but has a 13MP sensor on the front, which is better than the 8MP selfie camera on the POCO Pad. On the other hand, the Realme Pad 2 offers the same setup as the POCO Pad.

The Realme Pad 2 offers an 8,360mAh battery, while the Lenovo Tab P12 offers a 10,200mAh battery. In comparison, the POCO Pad houses a 10,000mAh battery. Also, it is worth noting that the Realme Pad 2 comes in 4G LTE and Wi-Fi variants. However, the Lenovo Tab P12 and POCO Pad only have Wi-Fi options.

What makes the POCO Pad a little above them is the chipset, as the Realme Pad 2 is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, while the Lenovo Tab P12 has the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, which is comparatively a bit slower than the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset on the POCO Pad.

The Lenovo Tab P12 is available on Amazon for Rs 26,999 for the 8GB+256GB storage, while the Realme Pad 2 is priced at Rs 20,999 for the 4G variant on Flipkart for the same storage variant. We will get to know about the POCO Pad’s India price once it becomes official in India.
