We had gathered from these listings that POCO F6 Pro could be Redmi K70 rebranded. Well, Xiaomi has not only accidentally revealed the existence of the POCO F6 Pro but also confirmed the similarity between the two phones. Here’s what happened:
POCO F6 Pro update log appears online
Xiaomi has accidentally posted the POCO F6 Pro update log including the March 2024 security patch. This log mentions the device name and codename vermeer. Folks at GSMArena came across this.
For the uninitiated, vermeer is the codename for the Redmi K70 also. This means Xiaomi could launch the Redmi K70 as POCO F6 Pro, perhaps in the global market.
Well, how identical these two phones may be internally and externally is to be seen. Still, since the Redmi K70 has been available in China since November 2023, let’s refer to it to know what the POCO F6 Pro could bring.
Redmi K70 specifications
