POCO X5 Pro specifications

POCO X5 Pro has a 6.67-inch FHD+ Xfinity AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixels resolution, up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 900nits peak brightness. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC powers the phone with Adreno GPU for graphics. The phone packs 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage that is further expandable.

Running the show is the Android 12 based on MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box. There is a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, dual-stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and Hi-Res audio. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.  The phone measures 162.91 X 76.03 X 7.9mm and weighs 181 grams.

As for the cameras, the POCO X5 Pro has triple cameras on the back, comprising a 108MP primary Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.

Should you buy the POCO X5 Pro?

Priced at Rs 22,999 without the bank offers, the POCO X5 Pro is a well-rounded option to consider in the mid-range segment, we said in our review. The phone ships with the very-capable Snapdragon 778G SoC, which can handle your everyday tasks with ease. The phone has a vivid 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that has support for Dolby Vision. Meaning the media watching and gaming experience should be fun. There is a large 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging and a 108MP camera, which should click some sharp and attractive photos.

On the downside, the POCO X5 Pro still runs on a dated Android 12 OS. We expect the phone might get the Android update shortly but it is still disappointing not to see Android 13 out of the box. Regardless of the OS, the POCO X5 Pro is a pretty good option for the price range it is placed in.
