Realme 16T India launch details
Realme 16T is set to launch in India on May 22nd at 12 pm. The smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart. There will most likely be launch offers and availability details, which will be available on launch day.
Realme 16T design, colours
In terms of design, the Realme 16T follows the same visual language seen on the rest of the Realme 16 series but introduces a few distinct touches of its own. The device features a square-shaped rear camera module and will be offered in Starlight Red and Starlight Black colour options. Promotional material has also hinted at a lighter silver-blue variant that could appeal to younger users looking for a more vibrant finish.
One of the standout additions is the rear Selfie Mirror feature, similar to the one introduced on the Realme 16. This allows users to frame selfies and group shots using the rear camera setup instead of the front camera, helping improve image quality during social or group photography.

Realme 16T specifications
The biggest talking point is clearly the battery. Realme has confirmed that the 16T will pack a massive 8,000mAh battery, with the company claiming up to three days of usage on a single charge. In a market where most smartphones now offer 7,000mAh, the Realme 16T could appeal strongly to users who prioritise battery endurance above everything else. The phone will also support reverse charging, allowing it to function as a power bank for accessories and other devices.
Realme is additionally promising long-term battery reliability, claiming the battery health can remain stable for up to seven years. Charging support is capped at 45W wired fast charging, which may not be class-leading but should still offer relatively reasonable charging times considering the unusually large battery size.

Realme 16T is confirmed to house a 50MP Sony AI camera system backed by several software-driven imaging tools. These include AI Popout, AI Portrait Glow and the company’s LumaColor imaging feature, which is designed to produce more natural skin tones and detailed portrait shots. Realme claims the camera system has been tuned to improve lighting balance and facial detail, particularly in portrait photography scenarios.
Realme 16T pricing (expected)
The Realme 16T is tipped to start at Rs 29,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants could be priced at Rs 31,999 and Rs 33,999, respectively. If accurate, the smartphone would sit below the standard Realme 16 series in the brand’s portfolio, with the regular Realme 16 currently starting at Rs 33,999.
Although we’re yet to know the official pricing details, the Realme 16T may make the most sense for those who value highly reliable battery life and AI camera features. The massive battery alone could become a major selling point, especially among users who frequently travel, game or consume large amounts of video content. However, we should still wait for reviews to determine whether the Realme 16T will be a worthy upgrade or not.
