Realme GT 8 Pro to launch with interchangeable camera modules: here’s how they look

Highlights

Now that Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, we can expect to see a line of Android flagship phones debut with this chipset soon. Among these is the Realme GT 8 Pro, which is even claimed to launch as the first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone in India. It’s confirmed to debut next month in China, so we can expect it to arrive here very soon. But instead of the chipset, what might be the Realme GT 8 Pro’s highlight could be its interchangeable cameras. Realme has teased that the GT 8 Pro will feature three different camera modules that you can switch between.

Realme shared a teaser video of the GT 8 Pro’s camera design on the Chinese social media site Weibo. Here, we can see three interchangeable camera designs. The Weibo post (translated) reads, “Disassembled, assembled, and interchangeable.” This suggests that you’ll be able to remove and replace the camera module on the Realme GT 8 Pro. The sensor placement is the same, with two sensors on top and the periscope below them. The overall design is varied, featuring a circular design, a square design, and one that resembles a robot’s face. We’re not sure how exactly this will work, but users will most likely get three camera modules to interchange, according to their preference.
