
Realme had launched its current flagship smartphone, the Realme GT, in March this year. Today, the brand has revealed a special variant of the phone in China, dubbed, the Realme GT Master Edition. For those of you who don’t know, the Master Edition of any Realme handset has a special design compared to the regular version. The Realme GT Master Edition is no different. Designed by the well-known Japanese industrial designer, Naoto Fukasawa, the Realme GT Master Editon has a special and more premium-looking design compared to the Realme GT. To recall, Naoto Fukasawa has earlier worked on the Realme X Master Edition and the Realme X2 Pro Master Edition.

Realme GT Master Editon has a 3D vegan leather back panel
So, how different is the design of the Realme GT Master Editon compared to the Realme GT? Well, the Realme GT Master Edition has a completely different design on its back panel. For starters, it is covered in a Cement Gray coloured “3D vegan leather,” which, according to the brand is an industry first. It also has rectangular blocks that are slightly raised from the surface. This, according to the brand, is inspired by the design of suitcases. This look is supposed to “evoke your travel memories” and symbolise “the joys of travelling, inspiring the youth to be bold, complimenting Realme’s brand spirit to #DareToLeap.”
Although Realme hasn’t revealed anything about Realme GT Master Edition specifications, we are expecting the phone to have the same hardware and software as the Realme GT.
Realme GT Master Edition pricing and availability details
The Realme GT Master Edition will be released in China on July 21st. The brand, however, has not revealed the Realme GT Master Edition price. Realme has also not revealed any details regarding the availability of the Realme GT Master Edition for markets outside China. Considering that Realme has launched the Master Edition of its other smartphones in markets outside China, we are expecting the brand to launch the Realme GT Master Edition globally.
Realme GT specifications
The Realme GT features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has three rear cameras: a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro lens. Taking care of selfies is a 16MP camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
The Realme GT is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It comes in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations. The phone ships with the Android 11 operating system. The device packs a 4,500mAh battery supporting 65W charging. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.
