Realme emerges second-biggest brand in October sales, within striking distance of Xiaomi: Counterpoint

Samsung slipped to the third position, while Xiaomi's market share (including POCO) shrunk to 20 percent.

According to a recent report from Counterpoint Research, Realme has overtaken Samsung emerging as India's second-biggest smartphone brand with a market share of 18 percent. Moreover, it was quite close to Xiaomi's market share as well during this period, which secured 20 percent of the sales. Realme also managed to grab the top spot on Flipkart during the festive season sales in October with a 52 percent market share. When you look across all online retail channels, its market share stood at 27 percent. The Realme 5G phone range was one of the main contributors to the company's massive inroads in the country, with Realme 8s 5G emerging as the top 5G phone in the Rs 15,000-20,000 segment.
