Realme U1 spotted in CEO Madhav Sheth’s hand a week ahead of launch, dual rear cameras confirmed

Realme is all set to unveil its latest smartphone dubbed the Realme U1 at an event on November 28th. The brand's teasers so far have suggested that the brand's newest handset will be a selfie-centric offering, and will be the world's first smartphone to utilise the MediaTek Helio P70 SoC. Now, just a few days ahead of the unveiling, the company's CEO Madhav Sheth has been spotted with the Realme U1.

A photo tipped to 91mobiles by an anonymous user shows Sheth using the upcoming Realme U1 smartphone at Exhibit Tech Awards 2018 event in Mumbai. The executive was taking a selfie with the Realme U1 when he was captured with the handset. The photo has revealed the design of the device from the back. As seen in the image, the Realme U1 will offer two cameras at the rear apart from the fingerprint sensor. The handset is expected to offer a glass back panel. The rear design of the device appears to be quite similar to the Realme 2 Pro. As per the earlier reports, the next Realme smartphone could feature a waterdrop notch above the screen. Sheth has also posted a selfie captured using the Realme U1, which suggests that the handset will be capable of clicking some quality selfies.

The Realme U1 launch event will take place at 12.30pm on November 28th. The event will be streamed online so people can watch the unveiling of the phone live on their devices. The smartphone is expected to be positioned in the Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 price segment. The handset will be taking on the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Y2. The device will be advertised as "India's Selfie Pro", and will be available exclusively on Amazon India.
