Redmi 12C reportedly getting HyperOS update in India: changelog, download size, and features

• Redmi 12C's HyperOS update is 4GB in size as per the screenshot shared by X user Sunny. The build number is 1.0.2.0.UCVINXM.
• It promises "vibrant aesthetics" inspired by life. This includes new "intuitive" animations and natural colours.
• There is a new system font that is said to support multiple writing systems.
• The weather app has been updated to reflect animations representing the real situation outside.
• The notification system will also be more efficient. 
• The update also carries with it the January 2024 Android Security Patch with "increased system security".

• UI: HyperOS update could also bring an iOS-like lockscreen, Dynamic-Island-like notification interface, Quick Settings, and widgets.
• Performance: The update could endow faster boot times and longer retention of apps in the memory.

• Interconnectivity: You could expect smart ecosystem facilities like app continuity across devices, screen mirroring, universal clipboard, etc. 

We are not sure about the underlying Android OS. But it is interesting to see HyperOS on this device ahead of the Redmi Note 13 and Note 12 series.

Xiaomi India has announced it is bringing HyperOS to Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 6, and POCO X6 Pro. So, in time, we may hear about expanded HyperOS support for other products available in India.
