After announcing the arrival of the Redmi 13C 4G variant in India on December 6th, Xiaomi has confirmed the 5G variant of the phone will also make its global debut on the same date. This comes after there were unconfirmed reports earlier this week that Xiaomi was indeed planning to introduce a Redmi 13C 5G, which will be the first 5G model under the brand’s C-series.

There is no information about the expected Redmi 13C 5G price so far, it could become the cheapest 5G phone to be launched by the brand. The Redmi 13C 5G microsite had briefly gone live on mi.com and Amazon, and it can be assumed the phone would be sold through the latter alongside the official website.

While it’s not confirmed, there are reports that the Redmi 13C 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, which is the same SoC that is present in the Realme 11 5G and Realme 11X 5G.
The Redmi 13C 5G was also earlier spotted on the 3C certification website, which revealed the phone would support 18W fast charging.

The Redmi 13C teaser shows dual-rear camera setup, with the primary camera expected to be a 50MP shooter.
The teaser, which has now been taken down, shows the Redmi 13C 5G in three colour options, namely a green, lilac and black. The phones have thick, flat edges and textured backs. The LED flash is visible next to the cameras with the Redmi branding down below. The SIM tray is on the left edge.
