Smartphone brand Redmi’s recently launched devices – Redmi K60 and Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition – are making way for global markets. However, tipster Kacper Skrzypek on Twitter has stated that these smartphones might be launched as POCO F5 Pro and POCO X5 Pro 5G, respectively, for global markets outside China.

This month, the sub-brand of Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition and K60 series smartphones in China, consisting of three models – Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E. As per the tipster, the Redmi K60e would remain exclusive to China for the time being.

In the past, the company has rebranded a number of devices. The POCO F4 GT, which was released in a few markets, was rebranded as the Redmi K50 Gaming in China. Likewise, the POCO F4 was introduced in India, but it is available in other regions as a modified version of the Redmi K40s.

The launch date, price, and specifications detail is still unknown, but as these smartphones are currently said to come as rebranded versions of the recently launched Redmi devices, let us take a look at the expected price and specifications.

Redmi K60 is launched in five storage variants – 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB and they are priced at RMB 2,499 (around Rs 29,800), RMB 2,699 (around Rs 32,200), RMB 2,999 (approx Rs 35,700), RMB 3,299 (around Rs 39,300) and RMB 3,599, respectively.

The smartphone features a 6.67-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1400nits peak brightness, HDR10+, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and JNCD protection layer. It sports a rear triple cameras setup, which includes a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor and a 16MP selfie caamera on the front.

Redmi K60 is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC and paired with Adreno GPU. It runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom skin. The Redmi K60 houses a 5,500mAh battery with supports 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition comes in three storage variants — 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 12GB+256GB – at RMB 1699 (approx. Rs 20,210), RMB 1799 (around Rs 21,400), and RMB 1,999 (around Rs 23,800), respectively. 

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition features a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 30/60/90/120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1920Hz High-Frequency PWM Dimming, HDR10+, 900 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision. It sports a triple rear cameras setup, consisting of a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor with OIS and f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. The front camera comes equipped with a 16MP selfie snapper.

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 778G SoC with Adreno 642L GPU and paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage with an option to expand it via a microSD card. It houses a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support and runs on Android 12 with MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box.
