After being in the news for its Xiaomi 13 series, the Chinese smartphone maker is now rumoured to launch its Redmi K60 series as well in December this year. A new report by tipster Kacper Skrzypek has revealed a new set of information regarding the specifications and potential models of the Redmi K60 series.

As per Kacper, the Redmi K60 series will feature the Redmi K60, the Redmi K60 Pro, and the Redmi K60E variants. The tipster has also revealed the codenames, SoCs, and specifications of the devices. Let’s have a detailed look at the same.

SoC and Codenames of Redmi K60 Series

Kacper has tipped “Socrates”, “Mondrian”, and “Rembrandt” as the codenames of the vanilla K60, the K60 Pro, and the K60E devices respectively. He has also disclosed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and MediaTek chipset (the exact SoC is still unknown) as the SoCs of the vanilla K60, K60 Pro, and the K60E model respectively. The K60E SoC is expected to be either Dimensity 9200 or Dimensity 8200.

The exact launch date has not been officially revealed by the company yet. Several other leaks have also previously surfaced on the internet and the Redmi K60 series has been spotted on the IMEI database and 3C certification.

Redmi K60 Specifications (expected)

The Redmi K60 variant is said to flaunt a 6.67-inch display with 2K resolution and pack a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support and 30W wireless charging. The vanilla model is tipped to be the most affordable out of the three variants. It will include a 12GB storage configuration and feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Moving to optics, Redmi K60 will house a 64MP main camera sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation Support, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. A 16MP shooter on the front will take care of the selfie and video calling needs.
