Samsung is said to be working on India-specific firmware for Galaxy A52 5G, which suggests that the smartphone could launch in India soon.
A Twitter account that goes by @_the_tech_guy, claims that Samsung is developing firmware for the Indian variant of the Galaxy A52 5G. The tweet claims that the model number of the Galaxy A52 5G that will launch in India is SM-A526B. It is the same model number that belongs to the Galaxy A52 5G that is sold in international markets. It means that the Galaxy A52 5G that will launch in India will have the same specifications as the international model.
Although there is no 5G network available in India currently, 9 out of 10 people in the country are preferring a 5G phone over a 4G model. People are tilting towards a 5G smartphone most probably because they want a future-proof device so that they can take advantage of 5G when it launches in the Indian market, which is expected to happen very soon. This is the very reason why we have been seeing so many 5G launches in the country recently. And it looks like Samsung also wants to jump the bandwagon.
Considering that Samsung is working on firmware for the smartphone, the Galaxy A52 5G could launch in Indian anytime soon. When launched, the Galaxy A52 5G could be placed between the Galaxy A52 4G and the Galaxy A72 4G in the Indian market. Therefore you can expect the Galaxy A52 5G price in India to be between Rs 26,499 and Rs 34,999.
It wouldn't be the first time that Samsung will launch a 5G variant of a smartphone that is already on sale in the country. Recently, the company launched a 5G variant of the Galaxy S20 FE while the 4G variant was already on sale in the country. Anyway, the Galaxy A52 5G differs quite a bit compared to the Galaxy A52 4G. While the Galaxy A52 4G comes with a 90Hz display and the Snapdragon 720G processor, the Galaxy A52 5G packs a 120Hz display and the Snapdragon 750G SoC.
The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone has a 64MP primary camera at the rear accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth sensor.
Powering the Galaxy A52 5G is the Snapdragon 750G SoC, which is built on an 8nm manufacturing process. The device ships with the Android 11 OS and OneUI 3.1 customization. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging. It also gets stereo speakers, IP67 water and dust resistance, in-display fingerprint scanner, 5G support, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack among other features.
