- Samsung is said to skip the Samsung Galaxy A74 this time around.
- In all likelihood, the brand will end the A7x series entirely.
- Moving forward, the Galaxy A5x series could be the top-tier Galaxy A series.
Samsung has been launching its Galaxy A7x series smartphones for quite some time now. Even though the brand’s best-selling smartphone series is still the Galaxy A5x lineup, it still is not the top-tier Galaxy A-series up until now. That, however, appears to be changing real soon, as a new report claims that Samsung might be ending its Galaxy A7x series, and there will be no Galaxy A74 this time around.

Samsung said to kill its Galaxy A7x series
If the report is to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy A73 was the last Galaxy A7x series model that Samsung ever made, and for those waiting for the Galaxy A74 to launch next year, it’s probably a pretty disappointing move. The Samsung Galaxy A54, however, will reportedly launch as planned, and will become the top-tier model of the Galaxy A lineup in 2023.
This further clears the doubts as to why there have been no leaks and rumours surrounding the Samsung Galaxy A74 so far, while the other Ax4 series smartphones have popped up on the internet quite often. There have been no leaks because, well, there seems to be no development happening when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy A74.
This adds yet another device to the list of projects Samsung appears to be shutting down. The brand is tipped to skip the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE or the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE smartphones as well, thereby leaving a huge price gap between the aforementioned Samsung Galaxy A54 and the brand’s vanilla Galaxy S-series models. Will Samsung launch an entirely new series to fill up the gap? Time would tell…
