"Samsung could launch Galaxy Buds with a stem design in the near future that would offer improved call quality"
Samsung could be working on a new pair of Galaxy Buds that will feature a stem design. 91mobiles has discovered a patent filed by Samsung with the Korea Intellectual Property Office for truly wireless earbuds that could very well launch in the future. The patent includes images showing the earbuds with extended stems. The stem design would allow the microphones to be closer to the users mouth thereby offering improved call quality, an issue that plagued the first generations Samsung Galaxy Buds. The recent launched Galaxy Buds+ come with a similar pod-shaped design as the original, but Samsung did make some improvements to the mics for voice calls.

As you can see from the renders above, the body of the TWS earbuds look similar to the Galaxy Buds in that we see a triangular surface area that should be touch-sensitive for answering calls, play and pause music and activate voice assistant. We also notice a slit on the outer surface that could suggest active noise cancellation, much like what the AirPods Pro offer.
The silicone ear-tips and winged ear-tips will be present to offer a better fit and seal. The stems that extend from the body seem to be about as long as the stems on the AirPods Pro. With the microphone being placed near the bottom of the stem, these earbuds should offer better voice call quality compared to the previous Galaxy Buds.
The patent filing suggests Samsung may launch a pair of Galaxy Buds with a stem design in the near future if the company feels the design is viable. There is no way to tell when we'll actually get to see these earbuds in reality, but it seems like the logical next move from the company after launching two pod-shaped Galaxy Buds models.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ are the latest TWS earbuds from the company. They offer better audio quality and longer battery life compared to the original Galaxy Buds. The pair offer 11 hours of battery life, while the charging case offers another 11 hours of music playback. The earbuds are backed by AKG sound and feature two-way speakers along with three mics for improved sound and voice quality.
Samsung Galaxy Buds+ price in India is set at Rs 11,990 and are available for buying via Samsung's official online store and offline retail stores across India.
