Samsung could be launching a new mid-range F-series phone soon. After the launch of the Galaxy M47 last month, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy F70 Pro has surfaced on Geekbench indicating it may be next in line. The listing, carrying the model number SM-E476B, reveals key hardware details, including the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, Android 16 and 8GB RAM.
The benchmark listing shows the device scoring 998 in the single-core test and 3,090 in the multi-core test. The motherboard codename “parrot”, CPU configuration, and Adreno GPU correspond to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, the same chipset that recently debuted in the Galaxy M47. The appearance comes after the Galaxy F70 Pro was spotted on Samsung India’s website, the BIS certification database and Bluetooth SIG, suggesting the phone is progressing through the final stages before launch.

Beyond the Geekbench listing, previous reports have revealed some of the Galaxy F70 Pro’s expected hardware. According to Sammy Guru, the smartphone could feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, paired with a 6,000mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging.
For photography, the phone is tipped to offer a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor with OIS. Other expected features include NFC, an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, the Galaxy F70 Pro is expected to ship with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung is also tipped to offer up to six years of Android OS upgrades, extending the company’s long-term software support to another mid-range model. The phone could also feature a leather-like rear panel, continuing a design language seen on several recent Galaxy F-series devices.
Samsung has historically launched closely related Galaxy M and Galaxy F series smartphones with similar hardware while selling them through different channels. If that strategy continues, the Galaxy F70 Pro is likely to serve as the F-series counterpart to the recently launched Galaxy M47, giving buyers another option with nearly identical core specifications.
Expected pricing
A retailer communication leak earlier this year suggested the Galaxy F70 Pro could arrive in three storage variants. The 6GB + 128GB variant could start at Rs 32,999, while the 8GB + 128GB could cost Rs 36,999. The top 8GB + 256GB variant could be priced at Rs 41,999.
If the leaked specifications hold true, the Galaxy F70 Pro will compete with upper mid-range offerings like the Motorola Edge 70 Pro, Nothing Phone 4a, and OnePlus Nord CE 6. However, its biggest draw could be Samsung’s promise of long software support, an area where the company continues to differentiate itself even when rivals offer similar hardware on paper. In today’s era of rising prices, users should invest in phones that they can keep for a long period and this seems like a good option, so buyers are advised to wait for the launch pricing.
