Leaks and reports around Samsung's upcoming flagship don't seem to be stopping anytime soon, even when the official launch is almost upon us. Earlier leaks have claimed a ceramic version of the top-end Samsung Galaxy S10+ is in the works and that it will have 12GB of RAM and 1TB onboard storage. Now, Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de has published images of the Galaxy S10+ Ceramic Black edition.
Apart from the brownish hue, there doesn't seem to be much that separates the regular Prism Black and Ceramic Black variants. However, the feel in the hand should be much different since ceramic is usually used in top models of most electronics products, such as the Apple Watch. Of course, the premium material would mean a high price tag, with estimates pegging it north of $1,700 (about Rs 1.2 lakh).
Whether Samsung plans to market this limited edition variant to all markets is still unknown, but the bigger question here is will it find takers considering its heavy pricing. Samsung is said to have used a used a special process to create this ceramic material, which is more scratch- and drop-resistant.
The official Samsung's Unpacked Event is scheduled for February 20th. And like I mentioned before we pretty much know everything regarding the Galaxy S10 lineup and its features. Apart from the standard vanilla and Plus models, there will be an affordable Lite variant of Galaxy S10, named Galaxy S10e. These models will be followed by a separate 5G-enabled handset.
The Galaxy S10 series will be powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor or the latest Exynos 9820 SoC depending on the region and come with various RAM and storage configurations. On the camera front, there will a triple-lens setup at the back and a dual one on the front for Galaxy S10+ and a single one for the vanilla model.
