Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra flagships have been launched in India a week after debuting globally at the Unpacked event. The phones come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset in the country instead of an Exynos chipset, a first for the S series in India. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra model comes with S Pen support and is touted to be a replacement for the Note series. The phone’s design language also aligns with the Note series, with square edges. Though the exterior design looks familiar, Samsung has introduced changes to the cameras and internals. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series specifications include Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, and up to quad rear cameras.

Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra India prices, availability

Samsung Galaxy S22 price in India is set at Rs 72,999 for the 8GB/128GB model and Rs 76,999 for the 8GB/256GB model. The smartphone will be available in Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Green colour options.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus is priced at Rs 84,999 for the 8GB/128GB options and Rs 88,999 for the 8GB/256GB model. The phone will come in the same colour options as the vanilla model.

Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra costs Rs 1,09,900 for the 12GB256GB storage model. The 12GB/512GB variant will cost Rs 1,18,999. The model will be available in Burgundy and Phantom Black colours. The 256GB model will also come in Phantom White.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 sports a 6.1-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 1.300 nits of peak brightness and Eye Comfort Shield. It comes with Vision Booster that automatically adjusts the brightness based on the ambient lighting. There’s an under-display fingerprint sensor for security, the back glass has a Gorilla Glass Victus layer, 25W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.

It gets a slightly bigger 4,500mAh battery with up to 45W fast charging, 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare. The camera setup and the rest of the specs are the same as the Galaxy S22.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with S Pen support much like the Galaxy S21 Ultra from last year and the design too looks inspired by the Galaxy Note series. Coming to the specifications, it has a 6.8-inch QHD+ Edge Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz sampling rate, Vision Booster, Eye Comfort Shield, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
