Samsung hasn’t officially reduced the prices of its previous flagship line-up, the Galaxy S25 series, following the debut of the Galaxy S26 series. However, Flipkart has gone ahead and slashed a substantial Rs 23,287 off the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (review). That said, the steep discount applies exclusively to the base variant. The top-end 1TB model remains unchanged at its original launch price of Rs 1,65,999, while the 512GB variant does get a price cut, though it’s a modest Rs 1,000 reduction.

The base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra can be yours at Rs 1,06,712 – down from its launch price of Rs 1,29,999. Furthermore, users can apply the Flipkart Axis Bank and SBI credit card offer of Rs 4,000 cashback to buy the smartphone for as low as Rs 1,02,712. It’s worth noting that Flipkart levies a minor ‘Promise Platform Fee’ of Rs 156 over and above the cost of the smartphone.

Even so, this marks the lowest-ever price for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in India to date. Despite being around a year old, the handset still has more than enough muscle to justify its price, especially at this level.

It may miss out on the newer display privacy feature introduced with the S26 Ultra, but the overall viewing experience remains virtually on par. The S25 Ultra features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO panel with a QHD+ resolution, adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits.

Moreover, the handset boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset under the hood, which can handle everything thrown at it. In optics, the smartphone sports a quad-rear camera setup, with a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP 3x telephoto unit, and a 50MP 5x optical zoom lens. The front camera is a 12MP shooter for selfies and video calling. The setup continues to remain pretty promising to date.

The S25 Ultra is also up to date with features, with the latest OneUI 8.5 update rolling out via OTA, and is slated to remain relevant until 2032. The handset houses a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. This is an area where the buyers might have to compromise compared to the latest Android flagships, which not only boast bigger battery capacities but faster charging solutions as well. That said, we all know Samsung’s optimisation level, and the S25 Ultra should easily last at least a day between charges on moderate to heavy usage.

All these factors make the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra worth buying at its discounted pricing. The offer looks even more attractive when you consider that the latest S26 Ultra starts at Rs 1,39,999, yet carries forward much of the same hardware and overall experience as its predecessor. For buyers who don’t necessarily need the newest additions, the S25 Ultra delivers flagship-grade performance, display quality, and camera capabilities at a significantly lower effective price, making it the more sensible choice for value-conscious premium buyers.
