Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 is set to debut very soon as the renders of the phone appeared last week. The phone was also spotted on Geekbench and this reveals the device will be powered by the Dimensity 6100+ SoC. Now, while we wait for the official launch, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. While it’s not guaranteed, it could be an indication that the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 could be launching in the country.
If it indeed does, it’ll be the first model from Samsung’s line of rugged phones to enter India.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 might launch in India
- The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 has been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with model number SM-G556B.
- While the BIS listing, as spotted by MySmartPrice, doesn’t reveal any hardware specifications, but is an indication to suggest the phone will be launching in the country.
- The Samsung XCover 5 and the XCover 6 were never launched in India, so the new development comes as a surprise.
The rugged Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 will ship with thick bezels around the display and a waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie shooter. The handset is MIL-STD-810H-compliant and has drop-to-concrete resistance and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Other details of the phone are under wraps at the moment. The handset will arrive as a follow-up to the XCover 6 Pro.
