  • The phone features a waterdrop notch to house the selfie shooter. We get flat edges but there are sizeable bezels around the screen.
  • The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right side. The latter also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
  • Moving to the back, you see triple camera sensors placed individually and an LED flash. We also have the Samsung logo.
  • The SIM tray section is on the right edge.
  • The USB Type-C port and speaker grills are at the bottom.

The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G also has the same design on the front. We get the same waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper. The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right side. The only difference is that the Galaxy A25 5G has a boxier chassis in comparison. There is a large rectangular module to house quad-cameras and an LED flash.

Upgrades: We get a Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the Samsung Galaxy A25 5G. In comparison, the A23 5G offers only an IPS-LCD panel. This is a good upgrade from consumer point of view.

The Samsung Galaxy A25 5G is powered by the Exynos 1280 CPU paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Upgrades: The Exynos 1280 is an in-house chipset from Samsung and was announced in April 2022. It is based on a 5nm processor, while the Snapdragon 695 is an 8nm processor. The Exynos chipset is an octa-core CPU made of two Cortex-A78 cores and six low-power Cortex-A55 cores and an ARM Mali G68 GPU. 

Samsung Galaxy M34 (review) is a phone that is powered by the same Exynos 1280 SoC. It scored 4,88,166 points on AnTuTu, and 953 and 2,000 points in the single-core and multi-core Geekbench tests, respectively. The Snapdragon 695-powered POCO X5 (review) scored 4,01,418 points in AnTuTu. It managed 829 and 2,019 in the single-core and multi-core Geekbench tests. These scores suggest that the Exynos 1280 should offer better performance.

The Samsung Galaxy A25 5G features a triple camera sensor on the back, with a 50MP primary camera with OIS, f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 13MP front camera for selfies and video chats.

Upgrades: The Samsung Galaxy A25 gets triple cameras compared to quad-cameras on the Galaxy A23. However, there is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor compared to a 5MP unit. This should result in better ultra-wide-angle images with good details. Samsung has done away with the 2MP depth sensor on the Galaxy A25.

There is a 13MP front camera on the Galaxy A25 5G compared to an 8MP shooter on the A23 5G. This means we will get sharper and better-looking selfies.
