Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 support page spotted in India
Samsung’s official India website has listed the model number “SM-G556B” on its support pages. This model number belongs to the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7, officially unveiled earlier this month. This support page and the complete model ID (SM-G556BZKDINS) indicate an India launch for the device.
The device was also spotted on BIS certification in November 2023. This could be the first rugged (or XCover) series phone the brand launches in the country. It’s worth noting that this device is meant for businesses and not individual purchases. Samsung targets these devices, including its Tab Active series of tablets, towards enterprise customers who need such tools with rugged military-standard design. Here are the specifications of the device.

The South Korean conglomerate is looking to expand its business in India with various offerings. The Galaxy XCover 7’s launch could enable Indian enterprises to have a better range of options available within the country. Further, with the launch of the Galaxy Book series in 2022, Samsung has been able to provide a range of devices, like its laptops, to businesses.
