December’s continuing to be busy for the tech world with new smartphone launches, and prep for upcoming devices. This week was particularly exciting with the Rockstar Games finally dropping the first trailer of GTA 6. OnePlus 12 also finally debuted in China, and Redmi launched a budget phone in India.

OnePlus 12 launch

OnePlus 12 finally debuted after months of leaks and rumours. The new OnePlus flagship comes with a 2K display with 4,500 nits of peak brightness, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and up to 24GB of RAM. It also sports a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera, and a 32MP front camera for selfies. OnePlus 12 is launching globally in January. 

iQOO 12 price in India leaked

iQOO 12 is scheduled to launch in India on December 12th. It has already launched in China, and made its global debut as well. Ahead of the launch, the iQOO 12 price leaked online via an Amazon listing. It’s expected to start at Rs 52,999 for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and Rs 57,999 for the 16GB + 512GB variant.

GTA 6 trailer

The first trailer for GTA 6 finally released this week giving fans a much-awaited treat after years of anticipation. The trailer shows a male and female protagonist, and a Bonnie & Clyde-inspired gameplay. This is also the first time there’s going to be a female protagonist in GTA. Vice City also looks more detailed and vibrant in GTA 6. As for the launch date, it hasn’t been revealed but the game is confirmed to arrive in 2025.

Redmi 13C 5G and 4G India launch

Redmi launched a budget phone in India earlier this week. It’s the Redmi 13C, and it comes in 5G and 4G variants. Redmi 13C 5G starts at Rs 10,999, while the 4G variant has a starting price of Rs 8,999. The smartphone features a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, and up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

New WhatsApp feature for iPhones

WhatsApp has finally added the ability to send original quality photos on iOS. This is possible by sending photos and videos as documents on WhatsApp. It will go as files but in the original quality. Android users have been enjoying this feature for years The new feature is available with the latest WhatsApp update on iOS.
