GTA 6 trailer details

The trailer confirmed many of the features that the leaks had suggested. This included the two protagonists and the Bonnie & Clyde-inspired gameplay. The trailer revealed that the female protagonist is named Lucia, who will go down as the first female protagonist in the GTA franchise. The name of the male protagonist is believed to be Jason, but the trailer doesn’t confirm this. We will most likely get more information about him later on. The trailer starts with her in prison and will likely follow the standard GTA story of rising through the ranks to be at the top.

The GTA 6 trailer also confirmed the game will feature a more detailed and vibrant Vice City. However, Vice City will only be a part of a bigger map. While it was not explicitly mentioned in the trailer, The press release for the game confirmed that the game will be set in the state of Leonida, which is Rockstar’s version of Florida. This is quite similar to GTA 5 where the city of Los Santos was a small part of the state of San Andreas.

GTA 6 release details

The GTA 6 trailer ends with the reveal that the game will be coming in 2025 and not next year, as was previously expected. The exact release date is still unknown. We will get more precise information with the subsequent trailers. One interesting thing to note is that the press release for the game only mentions that GTA 6 will be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with no mention of the PC version. It is doubtful that Rockstar will be skipping a PC release of the game. It seems the PC version might release later on.
