Vivo has launched its new Vivo Buds in India, marking the company’s entry into the IoT space in the country. The new TWS earbuds are aimed at everyday users, with Vivo focusing on sound, battery life, calls and connectivity in a lightweight design. The Vivo Buds are priced at Rs 1,999 in India, making them a relatively affordable option for users looking for a feature-rich pair of TWS earbuds. They are available from September 10 through the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart and leading retail outlets across the country. The earbuds come in Nilgiri Green and Basalt Black colour options.
Vivo Buds: features and specifications
The Vivo Buds come with a 10mm high-resolution speaker driver, which claims to deliver clearer vocals, detailed highs and better bass. Users can also customise the sound using the 10-band EQ, while built-in sound effects include Mega Bass, Clear Voice and Clear High Pitch. The earbuds also support spatial audio on compatible Vivo smartphones.

The earbuds offer up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 50 hours with the charging case, so battery life is definitely one of their key highlights. A 10-minute charge can provide up to four hours of music playback. For calls, Vivo has added Dual-Mic AI Call Noise Cancellation, which is designed to reduce background sounds such as traffic and wind and make voices easier to hear.
The earbuds weigh around 3.8g each and have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. They use Bluetooth 6.1 and support Multipoint Connection, allowing them to stay connected to two devices at the same time. Vivo smartphone users also get features such as Instant Pairing, Find My Vivo Buds and Remote Camera Control, while the earbuds remain compatible with other smartphone ecosystems.
Should you buy the Vivo Buds?
At Rs 1,999, the Vivo Buds face immense competition, and the CMF Buds Neo are one of the closest alternatives. In our review, the CMF earbuds proved to offer good audio, surprisingly effective ANC and reliable call quality. The Vivo Buds don’t offer active noise cancellation, which gives the CMF Buds Neo an advantage if ANC is an important feature for you.
The Vivo Buds do, however, claim up to 50 hours of total battery life, along with a 10-band EQ, Spatial Audio and Bluetooth 6.1 with multipoint connectivity. They also offer a lightweight design and several useful features for Vivo phone users. If you already use a Vivo smartphone, the additional ecosystem features make the Vivo Buds a more capable option. For everyone else, the CMF Buds Neo remain a decent alternative, particularly if ANC is a core requirement.
