After the successful launch of the Vivo X200 FE (review) and X Fold5 (review), Vivo has launched the V60 smartphone in India. The handset is a successor to the Vivo V50 smartphone, introduced earlier this year, and carries forward some features that made it popular, including the wedding photography mode. The Vivo V60 features a Wedding Vlog, enabling the capture of short videos with music and effects. Additionally, the smartphone features an upgraded Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, a massive 6,500mAh battery, and a 50MP telephoto camera with two new bokeh styles: Sonar and Plannar.
All these enhancements have resulted in a bump in the price tag. The Vivo V60 has been priced in India at Rs 36,999 for its base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, which is up by Rs 2,000 from the Vivo V50 (review). The Vivo V60 also comes in three other variants: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. Here’s a quick look at the pricing of all the variants:
| Vivo V60 variants | Price |
| 8GB RAM + 128GB storage | Rs 36,999 |
| 8GB RAM + 256GB storage | Rs 38,999 |
| 12GB RAM + 256GB storage | Rs 40,999 |
| 16GB RAM + 512GB storage | Rs 45,999 |
The handset is available for sale via major e-commerce platforms and partnered retail stores across the country. You can get it in Auspicious Gold, Mist Blue, or Moonlight Blue colour options. As part of the launch offers, the Vivo V60 is available with 1 year of extended warranty, 10 percent instant discount with HDFC and Axis Bank discounts, and up to 10 percent Exchange bonus.
The Vivo V60 compete against the likes of Realme GT 7 and OnePlus 13R in India. The Realme and OnePlus smartphones offer slightly better hardware than the Vivo smartphone. Be that as it may, the V60 will appeal to camera enthusiasts. The handset featurefs a triple rear camera, with sensors identical to the more expensive Vivo X200 FE. The primary sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX776 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
In addition to its flagship-grade sensors, the smartphone offers a variety of specialised shooting modes, including AI Four Season Portraits, Wedding Portrait Studio, Film Camera Mode, and Stage, making its camera setup more versatile and feature-rich than most rivals. On the front, it houses a 50MP camera in a centred punch-hole on the 6.77-inch AMOLED display. Unlike many competitors that use battery-efficient LTPO AMOLED panels with variable refresh rates, the Vivo V60 features an adaptive display that adjusts the refresh rate dynamically.
The V60’s display specifications are respectable for its price, offering a Full HD+ resolution (2,392 × 1,080), a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and coverage of the P3 wide colour gamut.
The device features a 6,500mAh battery, which is on par with the competitors. The Vivo V60 houses a large battery in a slim form factor, measuring just 7.53mm and weighing 192 grams. This has been made possible by the latest silicone-carbon tech, which offers higher energy density than Lithium-ion without being bulky. The handset offered excellent endurance during our usage, which you can read in depth in our full review.
The handset is also durable with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, Schott Core Glass protection, and a comprehensive cushioning structure. Powering the Vivo V60 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, a chip currently shared in India only with the Realme 15 Pro. It marks a clear step up from its predecessor, though it still falls short of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and MediaTek Dimensity 9400e found in segment rivals. Be that as it may, the V60’s performance will be ideal for its intended purpose, which is photography.
In terms of software, the Vivo V60 ships with FunTouchOS 15, based on Android 15, straight out of the box. The interface will feel familiar, yet it comes packed with a suite of AI-powered tools designed to boost productivity and creativity, including AI captions, reflection remover, object eraser, magic move, and more. Vivo has also committed to four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates, the most extended support ever for a V-series device. This aligns with the industry’s latest trend of keeping smartphones relevant, secure, and up to date for years to come.
All these aspects make the Vivo V60 a compelling choice within the segment, even though it may not outmuscle its rivals in sheer processing power. The real strength of the smartphone lies in its camera prowess, sleek design, and long battery life, all wrapped in the slimmest chassis to house a 6,500mAh cell in its class.
