Vivo has recently announced that it will launch its X100 flagship series, including the X100 and X100 Pro, by the year-end. However, the company hasn’t provided any specific launch date yet. Ahead of that, the launch timeline, charging details, and IP rating of the Vivo X100 Pro and Vivo X100 Pro+ (the top-end model) have been tipped.

Charging details
- According to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the Vivo X100 Pro and X100 Pro+ will have 50W wireless charging, but the Vivo X100 won’t support it.
- It’s worth mentioning that the Vivo X90 series was also launched in India with 50W wireless charging support.
IP rating
- As per the tipster, the Vivo X100 Pro and X100 Pro+ will come with an IP68 rating.
- Meanwhile, the Vivo X90 was unveiled with an IP64-rated body, while the X90 Pro and X90 Pro+ were launched with IP68 ratings.
- An IP64 rating means the phone is highly shielded from dust, but when it comes to water resistance, it’s only safe from splashes.
- On the contrary, an IP68 rating indicates that the device can withstand being submerged in fresh water up to a depth of 1.5 meters for about 30 minutes and is safeguarded against dust.

- The Vivo X100 and the X100 Pro are also anticipated to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. Meanwhile, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
