Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X phones have been launched in China, as promised. These come as successors to the Xiaomi 11 series from last year. The Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the latest MIUI 13 custom skin out of the box, 50MP triple cameras, and up to 120W fast charging support. The Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro feature a leather finish on the back panel which should give them premium look, triple cameras, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Xiaomi 12X is the most affordable in the lineup and features the Snapdragon 870 SoC, 120Hz display and MIUI 13.

Xiaomi 12 series price (expected)

Xiaomi 12 price is RMB 3,699 (around Rs 43,700) for the 8GB+ 128GB variant, RMB 3,999 (around Rs 47,200) for the 8GB/256GB model, and 12GB + 512GB variant is said to cost RMB 4,399 (around Rs 52,000).

The Xiaomi 12 Pro price starts at RMB 4,699 (around Rs 55,100) for the base 8GB RAM variant and 5,399 (around Rs 63,300) for the top-tier variant.

Xiaomi 12X is the cheapest of the lot with a starting price of RMB 3,199 (approx Rs 37,500) for the 8GB+128GB variant. The 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants cost RMB 3,499 (approx Rs 41,000) and RMB 3,799 (approx Rs 44,500).

Xiaomi 12 sports a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, centre-positioned punch-hole cutout, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and HDR10+. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The handset runs Android 11 OS with MIUI 13 custom skin out of the box.

As for the cameras, the Xiaomi 12 has triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 123-degree FoV, and a 5MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. It has a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats.

Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
