Xiaomi 13 Lite visits the IMEI database and reveals its model number 2210129SG (G indicates Global model), as spotted by PriceBaba. It’s the same model number associated with another Xiaomi phone that stopped by the IMEI database a few days ago, the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE (via). Interestingly, the rumour mill suggests the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE is a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Civi 2 that was launched in September in China.

The fact that the Xiaomi 13 Lite is in the works doesn’t come as a surprise. However, finding out that the phone is a rebadged version of the Xiaomi Civi 2 does take us by surprise. For those unaware, Xiaomi’s Civi series of phones typically remain exclusive to the Chinese market, but the company might have different plans for Civi 2.

This means Xiaomi plans to launch three phones with the same configuration but with different names depending on the market (it won’t be the first time the company does this). Things aren’t crystal clear right now, but some reports say that the Xiaomi 13 series official by the end of 2022.
