Weathering Review

This movie is a tale of woman going through emotional, physical, and mental struggle ever since she went into labor. It is a short film that aims to take the viewers through the challenging times of a women who loses a baby during childbirth and continues to struggle with the aftermaths. The movie has a strong emotional appeal that speaks out to the audience on a completely emotional level. The critics also praised the main lead character's performance as to how she brought in so much depth and originality to her character, which acted as a big plus point in the film's overall development. The progression of the story is also commendable and the manager in which the plight of the black women has been shown is just so saddening. The movie also aims to discuss several important themes of life such as violence, mental health, and most importantly the crucial conditions subjected on women of color. The interesting part of the entire movie is the fact that the protagonist herself was trying to draft an essay titled “What will it take to protect the Black Women?”. The movie is exceptional and should be watched once.
