Last month, Realme announced the GT Neo2 in China. Later, Madhav Seth, CEO, Realme India, confirmed that the smartphone would launch in India in October. Now, the landing page for the Realme GT Neo2 has gone live on the company’s official website suggesting an imminent launch. Realme is teasing the launch with ‘#EverythingNeo’. The landing page shows that the Realme GT Neo2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset touted as “Best 5G Processor in the Segment.” It will feature a 120Hz Samsung E4 panel with a 600Hz continuous touch sampling rate, the highest in India. Amid the rumours of Realme GT Neo2 launching in India, 91mobiles learned from tipster Yogesh Brar that Realme is planning to launch the smartphone after the ongoing Flipkart’s Big Billion Days. Further, the tipster suggested that the smartphone would go on sale in early November. In a recent “Ask Madhav” Youtube video, the Realme India head confirmed that the Realme GT Neo2 would come in the Neo Green colour. Realme would ALSO be launching a green colour variant of Realme Buds Air 2 to compliment the GT Neo2.

Realme GT Neo2 specifications

The Realme GT Neo2 features a 6.62-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 600Hz touch sampling rate. The panel offers a peak brightness of 1300 nits and comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Snapdragon 870 chipset powers the smartphone. The chipset under the hood is paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, expandable further via a microSD card. The GT Neo2 boasts a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The smartphone runs Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0.

In the optics department, the GT Neo2 sports a triple camera setup at the back. The camera setup consists of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FoV, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. It offers connectivity options including 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C. The Realme GT Neo2 retails at RMB 2,499 (around Rs 28,500) for the base 8GB+128GB storage option in China.
