Bharti Airtel has expanded the benefits of its Rs 999 and higher family postpaid plans by adding Apple’s newly expanded iCloud+ subscription. Eligible customers will now get access to iCloud+, Apple TV and Apple Arcade, bringing cloud storage, entertainment and gaming into the same postpaid bundle.
The move comes after Apple recently expanded iCloud+ in India to include Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost. Airtel is now using that expanded bundle as another incentive for customers on its higher-value family plans.
Airtel Rs 999 family plan
Airtel’s Rs 999 family postpaid plan covers three members and includes unlimited data with Fastlane technology, spam protection and entertainment subscriptions. The addition of iCloud+ gives customers a way to store, sync and back up photos, files, passwords and other information across Apple devices.
Apple TV provides access to Apple’s original series, films and documentaries, including Ted Lasso, Severance, The Studio and CODA. Apple Arcade offers more than 200 games without ads or in-app purchases, with titles including Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Sneaky Sasquatch and NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition.
iCloud+ starts at Rs 75 per month for 50GB in India and can be shared with up to five family members through Family Sharing. For households already using multiple Apple devices, the storage and backup component could therefore be more useful than the entertainment additions.
Airtel is currently the only Indian telecom operator to officially bundle Apple’s iCloud+ with its plans. Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi) do not offer an iCloud+ bundle, instead focusing their premium plans on their own cloud and entertainment partnerships. Jio, for instance, promotes its JioAICloud service alongside OTT benefits such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and JioStar. Vi’s premium prepaid and postpaid offerings include multi-OTT access through its Vi Movies & TV platform. That gives Airtel a more direct proposition for Apple users, particularly families that already rely on iCloud for device backups and syncing.
For Airtel customers already considering the Rs 999 family plan, the expanded Apple bundle adds value without requiring another subscription. However, users should still compare the total postpaid cost with their actual need for family connectivity and Apple services. Someone who only wants 50GB of iCloud storage can get iCloud+ separately for Rs 75 a month, making the Airtel upgrade more relevant when the family plan’s other benefits are useful too.
